This unique camp offers groups the ability to mix instructor led adventure activities with teacher led on site activities, whist offering their young people real value for money. By taking this approach schools can deliver curriculum focussed activities linked to previous or future teaching in a new and exciting environment. Our instructor led adventurous activities can even be delivered with a subject bias in order to further enhance the value of the trip. Have your ever tried archery in French?
Our curriculum camp is designed to add value to your existing curriculum whilst rapidly developing students personal and inter-personal skills. Our curriculum camps are designed to provide School Staff and students to participate in learning outside of the classroom. They enable the rapid development of relationships and provide a springboard for future learning in a variety of subject areas. In order to enable these effects it is important that your staff have an input in the delivery of sessions, either by leading them or by adding a curriculum bias to the adventurous activities.
Everyone remembers their schools camps, the sense of adventure and the relationships formed during the trip. In the past many schools ran their own annual camp led by their own staff with students and teachers enjoying an affordable off site learning opportunity resulting in life long memories. Today we are all aware of the increased risks associated with working with young people and the need to use activity providers in order to meet current health and safety requirements.
These camps are available nationally in locations of your choice, thus saving on transport costs and enabling staff to attend parts of the camp in order to reduce impact on learning back at your school. There are normally up to 4 activities per day each lasting for up to 2 hours all of which are based on site.
We promote tented camps as the best experience for young people for whom developing independence, self confidence and teamwork is an objective. Wherever possible we use non public sites that are designed for use with young people, eg Scout Association campsites. As standard we provide a central marquee, 3/4 person tents, toilets, showers, water and all cooking equipment. Indoor accommodation is also available in a range of locations either for the whole groups for accompanying staff.. just contact us with your requirements.
We normally provide all the food for your camp but are happy for you to take on this element of the camp should you wish. We promote student involvement in all catering thus developing valuable skills for the individuals involved. Past camps have proved this to be a valuable and memorable part of the event. Fully catered events are also available at your request. We are used to catering for student’s dislikes, allergies and religious requirements and have a range of menus which can be sent out to parents for approval in advance of the camp.
All our staff are experienced nationally accredited instructors who have proven their ability to work well with young people. We also work with a range of partners to provide adventurous activities for our larger residential camps. All of these instructors are fully qualified and experienced leaders in their own right. Each of Our events will have a dedicated event manager who will be present through your camp. This member of staff is your first port of call and will do everything possible to meet your needs and make your trip a success.
Activities play an important role in all residential camps, providing new experiences, developing life skills and resulting in life long memories.
